How to redeploy an application?

Hi,

I have successfully deployed an application and run it as well.

Now I made a small change to the text field of a label. I rebuilt the project and tried to deploy and run the application but I get the following error "Deployment of the archive file already running: abc.ear"

Can anyone help?

This error usually occours when ear file already in process of deployment and still you try to deploy once againg..

wait for some time so that deployment process over and run the application

"Deployment of the archive file already running: abc.ear"

means that old deployment still running.Wait for sometime till it gets over.

Otherwise just restart the SDM from MMC(Management Console).

Hi,

Open your "Visual Administrator" and goto

Cluster --> Server --> Services --> Deploy

Select the "Runtime" tab, click on the "Application" radio button

Select the application and click on the "Update" button and select the newly created "ear" file.

Or

You can open SDM deployment tool

"C:\usr\sap\J2E\JC00\SDM\program\RemoteGui.bat", eiter directly deploy or undeploy the existing application and deploy it again.
