Duplicate address when contacts are maintained

Hi *,

we have migrated customers and contacts into yC4C.

In case of no existing contacts relationships the address for the customer is shown once. That's ok.

But in case contacts are related to the customer the same address is shown twice within the customer. This confuses the users.

Is this the standard behaviour of yC4C?

    Hi,

    So the system (C4C) is creating a new contact by it's own, and plus that new contact is empty?

    Hi Christoforos,

    the contacts were migrated by me, too.

    I am wondering the account contains 2 (identical) addresses for those cases contacts are related to the account.

    We have 2 cases:

    1. no contact-relations --> account contains 1 address

    2. existing contact-relations --> account contains duplicate address

    Any ideas?

    Hello Thomas,

    I do not think it is a standard behavior of C4C. Address is maintained separately for Account and Contacts. Just an curious idea, did you checked that at the time migrating Contact Persons, the same address was also maintained incidentally in (twice) in Account?

    Because I can see from your example, one is maintained as main address and others not.

    Also please maintain an Address in Contact Person and see if that address is appeared in Account or not.
