GRC 10.0 Rule Upload

Experts,

I'm currently in the process of converting a legacy SoD rule-set (non SAP GRC AC) to the GRC AC 10.0 rule-set template. This is a tedious process of converting the legacy rule-set to the AC text files (Business Process, Function Action, Risks, etc.), but wanted to reach out to the group to see if there is a better way to perform this task.

Also, is it possible to get the templates for the text files to confirm my understanding of the text files.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

That is extremely helpful, thank you.

My next issue is when I try to upload the text files - I receive an error " Transferred codepage does not match the byte order mark"

I'm not sure which of the files is causing the issue. Do you know if there's a table where it will say the file and location? In 5.3 as you uploaded the files it would provide you with an error and a line number.

Any thoughts?

Hi Kunal ,

I am not sure if there is a table in GRC 10 which will give you this information , however i would suggest to check your template upload files for any errors. Make sure the format of all the upload files are correct .

As well as checking for errors in the files, I would also check the encryption routine. I have occasionally found that it will read the ANSI, Unicode and UTF-8 encryption characters as invalid code but changing the encryption of the files then allows the upload to work properly.

Hi Simon,

Can you let me know which format we need to use . I have tried it in ANSI,Unicode and UTF-8 and they are not working .. Also can we upload composite roles with rule ids mapped rather than single roles ??
