Linking a Portal to another Portal

Hi,

I am not sure if anyone can assist me, but I am trying to link a portal to another portal. When they have logged in to a portal and use a link to another portal the previous internet explorer window asks for login again.

This appears to be the cookie being replaced.

If anyone can give me any pointers that would be great.
