Since SAP Contact Center SP10/1608 SAP has announced that it will start providing new releases to its Cloud Edition product more frequently than On Premise Edition.

Why is that exactly?

Hello Roman,

The main reason is that cloud edition follows the release cycle of other SAP cloud products. This makes co-development smoother.

The product increments in cloud version are smaller, but follow a faster release cycle. When new functionality benefits users in both versions, the “cloud” functionality will also be available in the on-premise release.

Kind Regards,

Hi Tomi,

Thank you for the reply.

For example one of the functionality that on-premise edition could benefit is "ECF: Transfer and Destination Input".
Waiting for such simple and necessary features for 6 months is really a long period. The same goes for other ECF related new features. I hope you understand and SAP Labs can do something about that.

Best regards,
