GST (India) - STO (Storage Location to Storage Location Stock Transfer )

We are in the process of implementing GST related changes for our India operations. At present, we do stock transfers between storage locations (i.e. both storage location in different State) which are treated as ‘Business Place’ under one Company Code and One Plant.

Will this (Storage Location to Storage Location Stock Transfer ) model be used and supported for necessary tax and legal documents going forward? Or we have to setup each storage location as a separate ‘Plant’.

Just following up on this topic...wondering how you ended up solutioning for this scenario? Did you follow SAP standard solution, and change your org structure to have separate plants for each India state? Or did you opt for a custom solution, which allowed you to work with storage locations within the same plant?

No. As per GST solution, GST rates will be applicable when you will transfer stock from one plant (business place) to different plant(different business place). You need to change your organization structure. Every plant will be having seperate business place.

As per draft solution provided by SAP, yes if your physical location belongs to different business place and having different registration you need to raise a invoice intracompany stock transfer. you require to post the IGST in that situation.

We have the same question, but the answer is misunderstandable. Could you please make it more clear? Will the model (Storage location to storage location stock transfer) be supported?
