Hi all,
I have quite an urgent question that I need some guidance from all you SAP gurus on!
According to documentation we have found it is possible to connect BPC 10 to BI4 using Information Design Tool. Unfortunately, despite dowloading the relevant software and obtaining log ins we have not been able to complete the connection process.
So far we have:
Installed Business Objects BI platform 4.0 with Information Design Tool (IDT), BPC 10, Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package ATL Security Update on the Planning and Consolidation Web server and ODBO provider.
Each time we try to connect the errot mesage:
'no hosting information design tool could be found.'
Any advice would be really apprecaited!
Thank you in advance for any help.
Sara
Hi Sara,
Are you using windows AD or BOE authentication?
What ODBO provider are you using? Is it installed on the same machine where the IDT is installed?
I think you may have to create an XMLA OLAP connection within the CMC using the default BPC 7.5 driver.
Thanks,
John
