BO DataServices access in client system

Hi all

I just installed the BODS in server machine.

Is it necessary to install information platform services or BO CMC every time when we install the BODS?

and We install the BODS in server but how the developers can access this in client systems

Can any body suggested me how to do this?

Hi,

beginning with DS4, DS needs to be integrated into a CMS for security and scheduling purpose. You have two Options:

- If you have a running BI4 installation you can integrate DS4 into this

- If you dont have a running BI4 installation you need to install the IPS for the Serverdeployments.

In other words - yes you always need a CMS.

Developers access the DS Server with the DataServices Designer. You can download the Installation from the SAP SMP.
