I recon that we can build this File to File interface( usin FCC) without using ESR objects, can any one help me with the procedure since i am new to PI.

Thanks in advance

HI Chandrika ,

File to File Interface without ESR objects

this is very simple , you need to create Configuration objs

1. sender Communication channel and agrrenment

2. receiver Communication channel and agrrenment

3. u have to provide dummy service interface names and name space in interface determination,

4.in receiver determination , we have to provide source and receiuvers bu.components and remaining dummy names.

thanks,

Thanks for your help

one more small doubt, do i need FCC for this type of interfaces

No need. The interface picks up the file and copies into the reciever end without any conversions.

Yes, you said you are using .csv files so you need to convert csv into .xml format by using FCC.

As you are new to PI and SCN, before posting the threads, search for it. Read Rules of Engagement.

Hi,

>>>I recon that we can build this File to File interface( usin FCC) without using ESR objects

If it is just picking and droping the file you dont require any content conversion also (FCC)...Just configure your scenario in ID using dummy service iterface.

Hi thanks for your help,

One more small doubt, what do you mean by dummy namespace. Do i just have to give any dummy name or create any dummy namespaces in ESR. May be my question is stupid but iam really new to PI and have got no one around me to help out.

Regards.
