Go to Performance tab at Manage option of Infocube.

You can do it Through Process type- Delete Index through process chain.

    • HI,

In real time most of the (mostly all) reports will design on Multiprovider, as query performance is good with this.

Even we can hold multiple numbers if infoprovider in multiprovider and design query on that, if we execute query on this multiprovider query fetches data parallel from these infoprovider.

Infoset works based on join functionality.

If you about concept and usage of Constant Selection, it is much useful.

Constant selection will bring infoset functionality to Multiprovider.

Infoprovider is nothing but, object on which we design query. It may be Multiprovider, infoset, IC,DSO, Infoobject as target.

      Regards,

      rvc

An infoprovider is as the name suggests any object which provides information. In BW any object that is used for reporting is an InfoProvider. You can have InfoObjects which can be marked as InfoProvider, after that you can use these for reporting. A InfoCube, DSO, etc are all InfoProviders.

A multiprovider as the name suggests is multiple infoproviders. Here two or more InfoProviders are combined to make one single object called a MultiProvider. Now we can do reporting on this MultiProvider instead of having to report on the underlying InfoProviders separately. So if I have a MultiProvider which contains InfoCubes for Finance, Materials and Sales for e.g then instead of having 3 different queries on each of them I can have 1 query on the MultiProvider. This also helps in situations where I need to make sense out of data from different cubes like the finance and materials ones.

An infoset is basically a join where you can have

You can use this to create self joins or outer joins between infoproviders

Both Multiproviders and Infoset don't store any data in them but call it at run time.

Hope it helps. Assign points if this was useful.

    Thanks.

    Rohit

    Hi,

1).what is Drop index and create index IN process chain. exp.

If indexes are there in Cube, it wil take more time to Load data to Cube, so first Delete the Indexs on Cube and then L<oad teh Data and Then Crate Indexs.

2).when loading the new data in cube.how it will delete index and create index.

You need to keep it in Process Chains.

Start >Delete Index for Cube >Load Data InfoPackage >DTP >Create Index for Cube.

You can get this Delete/Create Indexs in Process Types, so click on Procecc Types and see these Options.

Pls assign points if this was useful.
