How to convert currency conversion

How to translate from one currency to other currency

Eg; from UK to US

:- In my project business places are in Uk, Aus, etc.,

Reports want to generate/Submit in US curency

how can i..,

Hi,

Please start looking at the currency conversion guide which would give the details about the required application, dimension and required properties set up which will help your further understanding.

To put it simply, lets say you have 2 applications Planning & Rate. Planning is a finance type application which needs to be referenced to your Rate application at the time of creation.

In rate application you maintain the currency rate information. You could do this as a flat file upload which basically captures your currency rates into your reporting currency USD.

In your Planning application, have the currency type dimension and have the memmbers as LC for local currency and USD as your reporting currency. You can have GBP as well there if you want to convert your LC into more than one reporting currency.

You need to define you currency conversion business rules as per the AVG or END rates you are going to use for conversion. AVG or END are the members of the account dimension of your rate app.

You require a Financial application with Rate App. Calculation can be executed using script logic.
