SAP BO 4.0 relational universe on SAP BW data - Data security Consideration

Hello SAP BI Experts,

Scenario:

Data security associated with user profiles is defined in the BW layer using Analysis Authorizations (example: restrictions by company code, profit center associated with user idu2019s).

If SAP BO 4.0 is the reporting application operating on top of BW (Using a relational universe) u2013 are there any potential options to read BW data layer security other than using Bex query based u201Cauthorization variablesu201D?
