Hi,
We have only one system which will act as SCL and backend server. Can we try to deploy using Installation wizard? If yes what should be the number i mention to "Connect to SAP systems". Also what are the other requirements which I should care in this case? I mean the trust, rfc destinations, users etc.
Please let me know.
Thanks,
Rahul
Hi Rahul,
that should work as well with the wizard. Just enter 1 for the "Connect to SAP systems".

Hi Holger,
Thanks for your quick response!
I would really appreciate if you would let me know if there are any additional information which we need to keep in mind for this scenario.
Also we need to provide the same system details (e.g. Host, Client, sysno, login details etc) for Backend and SCL system. Is that understanding correct?
Thanks,
Rahul
Hi Holger,
I have 1 more doubt about the wizard. If there is 1 error at any step, i know we can execute that step again but what will happen to entries which were created sucessfully. will they be overwritten or they won't be created.
For e.g. In step 2, some tasks were successfully created but 2 or 3 task failed. Now i will again execute the wizard for Step 2. My question is what will happen to the task which got created successfully?
Thanks,
Rahul
Hi Rahul,
If you know the specific steps which failed then you can un-check the successfull step in the re-run of the wizard.
In most of the cases the tools will over write the content with the new once, but please keep a tab of what is the changes and check it after re-run.
Please do the re-run carefully and aviod the re-activation of BC sets because this could overwrite the customization you might have modified.
Thanks,
