Unable to register .dll files.

Hi,

I am creating an install with the latest Crystal Reports 2011 mergemodule, when i run the install i get Error 1904: commonobj.dll failed to register and many more dlls. Please let me know how can we resolve this problem, can you please try at your end and let us know.

    Hello,

    First, moved your post to the .NET SDK forum.

    Second, ignore all of those links, they all refer to the RDC which hasn't been shipped since CR XI R2.

    Third, CR 2011 does not come with any runtime files so you need to clarify what you are using? Likely CR for VS 2010?

    1904 error typically means dependencies CR requires is missing. Search this forum, lots of info how to deploy. Likely either the Framework is missing or the C++ 2005 Security runtime package from MS.

    Merge Modules do not include all parts, use the MSI to install, it includes all dependencies.
