Part provider while indexing Multiprovier

Hi Everyone,

Iam trying to index and activate multiprovider for BO Explorer using RSDDTPS T-Code. when i click on edit multiprovider a snap shot indexing is getting started with out giving option of part provider. Actually i need to index as part provider only and not as snapshot. can any one help me out of resolvig the same

Hello,

This happens when you have either a compounded char in the multiprovider but no data for one of the compounded object OR you have another type of infoprovider other than infocube

Thanks for the reply. iam new to BW and more from BO so can u please help me how to chech whether multiprovider has compouded characteristic and whether it has data or not??

First find out what is under this multiprovider - if there is any DSO, infosets ( anything but cubes). It's hard to tell what to look - you need many steps, it's much easier to ask someone in your BW team

Multiprovider has only cubes. can u tell me how to chk for compouded characteristics?

Go to table RSDIOBJCMP, this shows all the compounded info objects

and check to see if they are in your MP

Thanks for reply. I will chk tht. I have one more question for the multiprovider - > in RSDDTPS T-code -> in Restricted / calculated Key figures i see some formulas.... where the formulas are defined for multiprovider and How to chk the formula's and their calculations for a multiprovider?

In the BW BEX query designer, you can define calculated and restricted key figures for a specific InfoProvider.

Hi,

I checked the multiprovider. It has compound characteristics. Can i index multiprovider as part provider though it has compound characteristics? because in snapshot changes made to data are not automatically reflected , i want to index as part provider. any information will be helpful. Thanks.

Try indexing base infoproviders under the MP individually
