Hi Experts,

We have 800 users out of that 60 are ECC user and remaining are Portal (ESS) users..

At the time of Implementation all users were created as Dialogue users..

Now we need to segregate ESS user and ECC users..

How can this be done.. ?

For ESS users we have given specific portal Roles..

Your help would me much Appreciated..

Vidya

Hello,

Segregation in what sense ? One segregation you already have with you - '800 users out of that 60 are ECC user and remaining are Portal (ESS) users.'

Please elaborate

Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for your quick response..

Below is the mail from our service provider..

Have you made any progress with differentiating portal users?

It is important that we get this done, as I need to begin to invoice for the user overages, and the cost difference between portal users and ERP users is significant.

Measured named users for ERP for October are 893, vs. the Guaranteed amount specified in the contract of 68. That is an overage of 825. Per the contract, additional named ERP users are billed at $5/user/month. Additional portal users are billed at $2/user/month.

Furthermore, the contract indicates the max number of named portal users at 20.

This means that regardless of the users being portal users or ERP users, there is still a substantial overage.

I will need to invoice for the month of November for these user overages. I will assume that you are at 68 named ERP users. This means that there are 825 portal users, resulting in a contract overage of 805 portal users. This translates to an additional user overage charge of $1,610.

Hi,

Mail suggests that you have not contracted with the number of licensing that you are using in the system.

For ESS/MSS scenario, you need to have named users for ESS/MSS applications which licensed differently than ERP users as mail suggests.

Thanks

Hello Vidya,

User type 'Dialog" should be fine in this case.

To get better understanding on roles, please take a look at below thread.

Good luck.
