Hi,

FTD : For the Date

Eg. If you have sales report , in which you are giving an option to user to enter a date value ie 10.11.2011. in the report out put should show you the sales value which happend on 10.11.2011.

MTD : Month To Date

In your Sales report you want to show the sales value from 1st day of user given month in our case 01.11.2011 to 10.11.2011.

YTD: Year To Date

Year to date should show the total sales value which comes between 1st day of the year 01.01.2011 to till user given date ie 10.11.2011.

In order to get this we are not using any formula , instead using restricted KF.

You have to create three variable details as below

FTD Variable : Char Variable , Manul Input, mandatory and ready for input , single value

MTD Variable : Char Variable , customer Exit, Not mandatory and not ready for input , interval

YTD Variable : Char Variable , customer Exit, Not mandatory and not ready for input , interval

Thanks

YTD

This prompt allows the user to enter a date and get all the dates from the month of the chosen date till the beginning of the current month, for example:

If the user will type 05/05/2010 (mm/dd/yyyy) he will get the range: 05/01/2010 till the first day of the current month.

MTD

This prompt allows the user to enter a date and get all the dates from the first day of the month of the chosen date till the chosen date, for example:

If the user will type 05/05/2011 (mm/dd/yyyy) he will get the range: 05/01/2011 till 05/05/2011.

YTD means from year starting to today. If you are preparing a yearly report you can use YTD in its name.

MTD means from month to date. for monthly reports you can use MTD
