Load data from Direct update ods to infocube or another ods.

hii frnz,

can anyone ever tried loading data from direct update ods to ods or infocube??2dy i hv tried n it sucessfully loading,bt it loaded data using only full load,there was no option like init n delta load,,my question is why these 2 types of load option r nt showing??

Direct update DSO support only Full upload, Because when we load data to Direct Update DSO through API e.g APD, First it delete data from Direct Update DSO then data get loaded. You will not find any request in Direct Update DSO.

So what's we do we create one more Standard DSO on top of Direct Update DSO which is same copy of Direct DSO. Through Dirct Update DSO we load data to Standard DSO with Full update. Then from Standard DSO we load data to another Datataget using Delta update.

Sequence of Data loading

APD --> Direct Update DSO (Delete & update data) --> Stadard DSO (Full Upload) --> Next Datatarget <DSO/CUBE> (Delta Uplod)

hi Rosy,

As u are well aware of the fact that change log table is not generated,you cannot perform delta update to the connected InfoProviders, the system only updates the requests that have not yet been posted. ( Same is the case with w.o. dso)

Yes,

You can not have delta load from direct update DSO. It will always allow you to do full load only.
