Hi Experts,
I have a quick question regarding Item master data that doesn't populate in marketing documents for ex:
I Open up a purchase order, i type in my item code and the item description populates. (Perfect, they way it should work)
Item 2 gets typed in, but the Item description, quantity etc doesn't populate at all
I noticed the items that if the item has a BOM attached to it, it populates. If there are no BOM, then it doesn't populate.
Any advice?
Thanks
Reinhardt
Yes the database has recently been upgraded.
I'll log a ticket, thanks

Hi Jitin,
First query's result is 'P'
Second query is not returning any rows
What i do see when i run select * from OITT, is that the items i have problems with is not in that table.

Yeah, we have another live database in the domain and it's fine on that one. Even items with no BOM pulls through the item name, qty etc.
I'll keep on scratching around, not sure what the problem is, it only happens with like 13 items.
No FMS on the field, no

Hi,
If you item which does not display the item description is a not BOM then the following query :
select treetype from OITM where itemcode = 'xx'
where 'xx' is your item code
will display treetype as 'N' as value i.e Not a BOM.
You can confirm the item to be a BOM or not by running the following detect query :
select * from OITM where itemcode = 'xx' and itemcode not in (select itemcode from OITT)
Check this and update.
Kind Regards,
Jitin

Hi Reinhardt,
What is your B1 version and PL? It might be by bug. Check demo database to see if you got the same issue.
Thanks,

It only happens to items that doesn't have BOM's.
the articles that has BOM's populate the item description field. Its very weird.

Hi......
It does not happen at all that if Item has BOM that only brings Description of its Item code.
It happens in all cases.
It that happening with you for a particular Item Code?

Rahul
