NWDI import check failed and undeployment of already Deployed Components

Dear portal gurus,

I have deployed ess sp 06 version on my portal server successfully. my system information in portal (http://host:port ) showing the versions of ESS version installed.

i developed a NWDI track with the same version files while keeping the sca files in cms/inbox. for customization of ess, and develpment server configured in track is the same server above.

when i import check the files , all the sca files are giving check finished, but ess.sca file giving check failed error

The track is not created sucessfully,

but the ess links are not working and giving null pointer exception, the system information in portal (http://host:port ) showing the versions of ESS SP 0 version .

Why my (import check) failing on particular ESS sca affecting the already deployed ESS bp when dev server in track created is same where bp are istalled .

Hello,

Are you sure you have selected the proper dependencies as well while creating the track.

There has to be certain predefined components to be included as build time dependent components in your Landscape Configuration -> track data -> Software Components..

Kindly confirm the same and if you are confused please refer the ESS MSS Cookbook as per note 872892. You may ask your doubts from this as well.

In case your sure about your landscape configuration and can see the XML, please check the logs while importing fails for ESS. Also please confirm that your are importing and not just checking importing, as you have mentioned. because then probably you get better logs.
