Viewing of Certain BP List on Current User.

Hi Experts,

I have a question. Is it possible to hide particular BP List to a current user base on the Customer Group using Query? For Example,

BP Name Customer Group

Customer1 Group 1

Customer 2 Group 1

Customer 3 Group 2

Customer 4 Group 2

Current User can only see Customer 1 & Customer 2 in the BP List. And also, User 1 can only select the BP's from Group 1 which is also the customer 1 & 2 on the transaction. Do you think its possible using query?

Your help would be much appreciated.

Thanks and Regards,

Horhe

Hi Horhe,

The query such as FMS can limit the user for viewing of certain BP List on current user. However they will still be able to view them directly though BP master menu if they have the authorization. B1 authorization is on form level. If you need field level authorization, SDK is the only option.

Thanks,

Gordon,

That's exactly what I'm planning to do. I will use the query to block the current user to use particular customer and they are not authorized in BP Master data. Can you help me for the QUERY Codes? Thanks alot

Hi Fidel,

Thanks for entertaining my question. I understand that it cannot be done in user authorization. How about using the Query?

Hi......

This is not Possible even through Query......

You have to get it done by SDK with the help of your technical team......

hi Horhe,

this is what i can see a Work around for you.

if you don't give Authorization to BP Master data to a certain user, when the user runs the query and click the link arrow to BP master data the system will not allow the user the view the BP Master Data.

. then design a Query that only display the BP Master Data in columns and Rows format but cannot see the actual BP Master Data Window.

from there manage categories in query manager window. group your users as you desired.
