Enabling smart value help option for a field

Hello Experts,

I've below two queries regarding the samrt value help!

1. I'm not seeing the checkbox "Disable the suggestionof entries for Input helps" in the Personalize Layout screen. How to enable this?

2. How to enable the samrt value help for a particular field in webUI for a standard field or for a custom field? Is it possible to enable this for product or account fields? If so how?

It would be really grateful if you can share your thoughts on this.

Hello, Senthil.

What do you mean under "Disable the suggestion of entries for Input helps" checkbox? Have you ever seen such functionality? Where? Me not. You can only restrict smart value help suggestions through business role parameters.

Regarding you second question:

Check [this help topic 'Using the Smart Input Help'|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm70/helpdata/en/80/d1fe7d1c814eeda259e30923ce3f63/frameset.htm]. As mentioned there should be 'simple' input help assigned to this field to enable smart value help for the field.

Hi Anderi,

This option is there in the application Personolize link --> Personalize Layout --> Performance settings.

This enables the smart value help for the standard fields.

I wanted to know how this is enabled and where is the coding for this? What are the fields supported by SAP by default and how we can enable for the custom fields or other necessary fields?

Hi Senthil,

I have a similar requirement in CRM 7.1. We got the smart value help value showing but the values are not filtered based on other field.

Say for an example if enter US in country and use smart value help for Region and enter C* it is showing all regions in all countries. Its not filtering based on the country value.
