Hi HANA Guru,
I am new to HANA and Column Oriented table, If we create table with Column-oriented table, so the uniquness or Primarkey will not play around.
How does it handle Primarykey or uniquness for Column Oriented table in HANA ?
Regards,
Manoj.
Row or column , but its still a table . its is just handled architecturally in columnar fashion

Hello,
Anna was trying to say that difference between row and column table is visible on how it is managed (different way of storing data, different optimizer, different purpose, etc.).
On table definition level it is same... you can define primary key above one or several columns. And same rules apply - regardless of table type.
So answer to your question "how does primary key play when we talk about column table..." - exactly same way as with row tables.
