Hi,
SAP has bought our company. Does SAP have fix rules for peoples with home office? In special for people with a case for nursing care at home?
I suppose "John"_67 able to get pregnant??.... LoL!

For sure it also depends on what your job is... Try switching hardware in the datacenter from home via telepathy?
More important: If the stocks go up significantly as a result then you can stay home forever! Or did you sign a "blackout period agreement"?
Anyway, I know many SAP employees who work partly from home. They say that SAP is very family friendly about this as well, particularly for single mothers, but ultimately you will have to clarify this with your (new) boss I guess.
Let us know how it goes.
Cheers,
Julius

Thanks for your fast answer. I'am a software developer. My direct boss has to clearify this, too. I'am asking here, because it can take several weeks until I have clarity. Experienced data or clear statements like they have fixed company wide rules for this would calm me. A constraint of my home office would have serious consequences... .
Yes, it is a company policy to be able to "telecommute" to work from home when feasible. At least it is in Germany and the US --> http://www.careersatsap.com/en/WhySap/FlexibleWorkplace.aspx#/HomeOfficeHeadquarters
Also for single parents there are special "Parent & Baby" offices in Walldorf --> you can take your child with to work.
So try to get yourself pregnant. That will calm you down a bit...
Cheers,
Julius
"I slept like a baby last night" = "I was waking up cold / lonely / hungry / needing the toilet every five minutes".

I burst into laughter and my colleagues now think I went bananas. Totally worth it.
What a time for me post in this thread. Ever since my first-born came into this world (early this month) I haven't had a single night of 8-hr sleep. (Not that Im complaining)
Ironically it comes at a time when the Supreme Court in our country has stated that Sound sleep is a Fundamental Right, or par with Right to Vote and Right to Freedom etc ...
