BW Hierarchy Display in Webi 4.0

Hi Guys,

We working on Webi 4.0 reports based on BW cube.

Is there a way to display both Text and key of Hierarchy in Webi 4.0?

Right now i can able to see only Text, i changed the Bex properties to display Text and Key but its not working

Is there any work around to get this done? please help me

Hi Guys,

It is possible to display both Text and key in Webi 4.0 as we do in Bex Query.

i am going through some wired problem, My user want to see all Accounts in Text, We have 8 level of Hierarchy, Form Acc01 to Acc08

Right now, My report shows all values in Text, When i drill down to Level eight (which is account number) some how its showing as Key instead of Text

Please help me to resolve this

Hi,

Yeah sure, you just include the Key and Text detail attributes alongside the Dimension object in the table.

If you mean doing the same in the variable / prompt screen, you can switch between views by clicking the tool / spanner icon.

If level 8 is defaulting to key .. rather than the expected text, well i suspect that the text table isn't maintained at that deptch for you logon language i.e. Mdata.

BTW - these 'display key or text characteristic settings' in Bex properties - these are for BEx, and many of the options are not exposed by the BICS API to webi . For this setting to be effective in webi, you'll need to change the global infoobject setting.
