The SLD with Netweaver 7.3, centralized or local on my Solman?

Hello Experts,

Actually in our company we have SAP Netweaver CE 7.1, and our Solution Manager is 7.0 EHP1 SP26, we have our SLD centralized in our Portal, because of the upgrade to version NW 7.3, we should transfer our SLD to Solution Manager locally or we should continue with our actual configuration for the SLD.

Hi,

You can continue with upgrade keeping your SLD on same system, there should not be any issue in it. But you have to plan downtime of your upgrade because during downtime your SLD will not be available so it should not impact your other systems.

Thanks Paul and Sunny, we will follow your advice and let the same SLD Central but in the 7.3 Version.

Sunny is correct here. One thing to consider however is the CR Content needs to be at the latest version 7.y

Please refer to SAP Note 669669 - Updating the SAP Component Repository in the SLD

This will also impact availability of the SLD while it is being updated.
