Hi Experts,

How do we transport security from DEV sys to PRD sys?

Can we do it either in Backend BI system or through the tcode UJBPCTR?

Hi,

When it comes to security, there is a limitation of what you can transport. The member access and task profiles are transportable. The users and teams (except ADMIN) and assignments are not transportable. Te reason for the users and teams not transportable is that you could have different set of users in these environmentsh.

You could have the entire security design done in the development and use a program ZUJE* (ZUJE MASS User Management tool) in se38 to download all your users, teams, assignments, task and member access profiles to migrate into prod.

There is a how to guide explaining the program in detail. It downloads your security in .csv files which you can import using the same program in your target environment.

Note: Task profiles and member access profiles are transportable, hence if you have the same IDs for these, make sure your development system reflects the set up in prod , else the future transports would overwrite them in prod.
