if am going to maintain

1. Business area as zero balance & mandatory field

2. Profit center as zero balance & mandatory field

3. Segment as zero balance & mandatory field

in "Define Document Splitting Characteristics for General Ledger". please tell me what are the disadvantage & advantages

Dear expert

in classical g/l i have to use OBXM configuration for updating business area in tax line items .but we are using new g/l with document spiting so. my question is in new g/l also required OBXM configuration ?

Hi,

No you need not to define any setting in OBXM if you have defined Business Area as one of the charectristic for Splitting.
