Hi,

It is a material type setting in OMS2, Pl. check the relevancy before the changing the material type configuration

Hi,

If the value of procurement type is not displayed in materila master then you will have to check the material group, as values coming from material group are not displayed. However if it is displayed in 'protect' mode then it is coming from MRP profile. so you need to act accordingly. Please note that there may be more materials having same MRP group/MRP profile. SO please think twice before you make any channges as this will affact other materials having same MRP group/Profile.

I hope this helps,

Also check if you are using MRP profiles with protected values...

Dear,

You can make the necessary changes from Materail Type Setting only to change your material type. Else you have to close all your open PR/PO//GRN/IR for this material. Once you have closed all then you can change it.

Setting to be done in material type:

1.Go to T. Code: OMS2

2. Select your materail type and in Internal Purchase Order Field Specify 2.

3. Remove any value if maintained for External Purchase Order.

4. Save the Settings.

Your procurement type will be changed accordingly.

Hope it will help you.

Hi Karthik

Use T code OMS2. On the screen you can find a box which says Internal/external purchase orders . If you allow external purchase orders only then the procurement type is F. If it allows only Internal purchase orders then it is E (In House Production). If u allow both External and internal, then it is X.

Thanks
