Hi Experts,
I am trying to load data from flat file. I am confused which info object i should use. My requirement is for info cube 0BBP_C01.
As i found for this info cube only two info objects are available: 0BBP_VENDOR and 0VENDOR. But in my flat file i have following fields: Vendor code, Vendor Name, Ultimate Parent, City, Country, Minority Status, Vendor Payment Terms. which all are together not present in either of info objects.
Please suggest which info object i must use. or should i create Z info object for my requirement?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Just double check on R/3 SIDE most of the fields you mentioned are attributes of vendor.
Check whether those are added or not?
You can also get these from R/3 datasource or if you want to load through flat file you can do it.
If standard objects/fields are not available then you can create Z objects and add it in 0VENDOR as its attributes or you can create new Z Vendor master data object and add these new attributes in it.
I hope its clear for you.
Thanks and regards
Kiran

RSDG_IOBJ_ACTIVATE is a program and not the function module. To execute it , use tcode SE38 and not SE37.

Hi Niranjan,
You can add unavailable attributes to 0vendor (no isssues).
Load master data using Flat file using info package up to PSA and run DTP and Attribute change run.
Make Adaptor as client workstation
Take .csv format.
(,) comma separator.

Hi,
If not required, then please delete unwanted fields from flat file.
or else you can create new infoobject.

Hi Kiran,
I am loading data through flat file. I am not getting your point like how to get attributes present in the R/3 system which I am not using in this case.
Hi rvc,
I have created two characteristics z info objects i.e. ZU_PARENT for Ultimate parent and ZVEN_PAY for Vendor Payment Terms.
When i am trying to add these two as attributes and add it as Navigational attribute, I am getting the error "Characteristic 0VENDOR: The attibutes SID table(s) could not be filled" (Message no. R7586)
Please suggest am i wrong somewhere?
Thanks and Regards,

Hi Durgesh,
I tried as u suggested but i am getting following error "Reconstruction of X/Y table was terminated with an error" (Message no. RSRV288) and now the info object 0Vendor is not in active state.
Hi rvc,
I want to add these attributes as navigational attributes. How can i load data without acivating the info object 0VENDOR (with my navigational attirbutes). First i have to active it. right?
Please suggest,
Thanks and Regards,
Niranjan Chechani
Hi All,
I tried the methods mentioned in the upper messages but still the error "Characteristic 0VENDOR: The attibutes SID table(s) could not be filled" (Message no. R7586) persists. And now the info object 0VENDOR is not in active state.
One more thing i want to ask that should i use the below method before activating the info object or after actiavting the info object.
method : RSD1 in change mode for the InfoObject. Under Extras --> Database Tables --> Fill Attribute SID table.
Please suggest.
Thanks and Regards,
Niranjan Chechani
