Release indicator blocked

Hi :

I encountered an issue where release indicator of my PO is blocked, but it is weird that status is green check, how to change "blocked" to "released" for release indicator? Help.

Hi all:

I had checked all the characterisitics and classification and also read above thread that you mentioned, so the problem will be for release strategies:then I went to purchasing/purchase order/release procedure for purchase orders/check release strategies, then I looked at "checks re release strategies",when I looked at my release combination release group 01/strategy RX(the one which caused block in my PO, then I found red light, then I tried to click it and it said:final status of trategy RX not "Released", then I click the question mark, info as below shows: how can I fix it?

Diagnosis

A release indicator "Released" must be assigned to the final status of every release strategy.This indicator is missing in the case of release strategy RX of release group 01.

When the purchasing document has been released by all the individual release points involved, it must be assigned a final status "Released", otherwise the purchasing document cannot be processed further.

Procedure

1. If necessary, define a release indicator for the status "Released".

2. Assign this indicator to the final status of this release strategy.

Check your values of Release strategy in CL02N that matches with values in PO. If everything ok, re-trigger the release strategy by changing (Increase it) any Key values in PO like quantity (You can revert back later), that should re-trigger your new release strategy. If it still doesn't work, Have a look in underneath of release indicator to know how the releases need to be controlled on change perspective.

Goto IMG _-> Material Management --> Purchasing --> Purchasing Req --> Release Procedure --> Procedure with classification --> Setup procedure with classification --> Release Indicatior.

Click on Release indicator 2 ( Released) And Goto Details . Make sure that in details sub screen Release for quotation and Release for issue of PO both checked .

If not please check them both and try again .

spro->img->Purchasing->Purchase Order->Release Procedure for Purchase Orders->Define Release Procedure for Purchase Orders->release strategies.

Double click on your Release strategy.click on "release Statuses" button.Below the Release Indicator column the last check box should be "R".

Check in your case if it is manintained as " B"

This what the error message is explaining.

Hi Yes it is maintained as "b" which stands for blocked, did you mean to change it to "R" release?

Yes, Change it to "R".

The final stage must be "R" otherwise the PO could not be processed further.

I think this has resolved your issue.

Ask user to change the characteristics which triggers new release strategy and save the PO.

Then you have to change back the characteristics to original and try to release the PO again . If still problem exist then the problem is with the release strategy .

You have to simulate the same in SPRO whether its triggering correctly or not.

Hi,

This can happen if there are any changes in the existing release strategy configuration.

Make some changes in the purchse Order and let the new release strategy get triggered for this Purchase Order.

check your release stargy in cl20n, cl24n,cl34n.

and once check your release status in release stargies in spro

spro->img->Purchasing->Purchase Order->Release Procedure for Purchase Orders->Define Release Procedure for Purchase Orders->release strategies.

Hi,

Please check whether the releasing procedure updated at table level or not? Check the table CDHDR. Check in SM13 if there is any exception message for the user triggered. Generally the blocked status of the PO will turn to release automatically after completion of release. Thanking you.
