Book Inventory is Zero

Dear All,

I've read few threads about the quite similar topic, but perhaps there is still something additional over my situation here.

- In MMBE, my stock balance is 30 pcs

- In MB51, there is only 1 transaction (MT101) created on the 16.11.2011 (same as posting date) for 30 pcs. No other

transactions for this material.

- Upon creation of the physical inventory document - document date is 24.11.2011 and planned count date is 24.11.2011

and no tick for checkbox (Freeze book inventory)

- Stock type is correctly picked for stock take.

- However, I noticed that the material's book inventory is zero (0) - count date is 24.11.2011.

May I know what is the root cause?

Thank you.

Regards,

Edwin Fu

Dear Edwin,

Good day. Use tcode: MI04 to enter physical count qty & then proceed with variance check to see the difference details.

Before count entry, book qty is always shown as zero qty.

Raj

Hi Raj,

The count has already been completed. Now, we can see the following in the document

Counted on 24.11.2011

Quantity: 30 pcs

Book Quantity: 0 pcs

Difference Quantity: 30 pcs

Thank You.

Hi Edwin,

While freezing your book stock, whether the stock 30 pc was in unrestricted location or in quality/ blocked/ reserved any such location.

Thanks

Hi Vijay,

The stock item is in the unrestricted-use stock type since it was received. It did not move to any other stock type. There is only 1 transaction in the MB51.

Thank you.

Dear,

Check whether Storage location is maintained as Warehouse Managed. Physical inventory will not consider WM managed stor. location. Do PI using WM related transactions such as LX16, LI11N, LI20 and LI21.

Hi,

Thanks for prompt reply. For this particular plant, it is not in WM-managed. The PI is created via IM transaction, not WM.

Thanks.
