Create new fiscal periods 5-4-4 OB29

Hi all experts.

I would like to setup new fiscal periods in OB29.

Period 1 should be from january 1st to february 4th.

Period 2 should be from february 5th to march 3rd.

and so on.

I create a new year dependent fiscal period variant, and go to the period folder.

What do i put in month, day and period to reflect the periods mentioned above ?

Will it be correct to set the following?:

Month 2

Day 4

Period 1

(for period 1 from january 1st to february 4th)

Month 3

Day 3

Period 2

(for period 1 from january 1st to february 4th)

?

And how will this affect other areas in SAP - Material planning ?

Thanks for answering! Points will of course be rewarded.

Hi

Usually US country will do this kind of fiscal year

Here you need to maintain like

Month 1

Day 35

Period 1

(for period 1 from january 1st to february 4th)

Month 2

Day 27

Period 2

Period 2 should be from february 5th to march 3rd.

like this you need to calculate and configure the dates in every month

So if i understand you correct, the "day" value is "number of days in the defined period" ?

I tried to enter

Month 1

Day 35

Period 1

but get an error message: Date 2012-01-35 is invalid (message no FGV329)

Dear Daniel Dale Laa...

Your doing against of Sap Standards. think once again my dear. every period we have 30 or 31 respectively. how can we maintain 35. system can't recognise the days of 35. that's why error will appear.

Other wise you have change SAP period formats.
