Hi,
I would like to use KM to store scanned documents. I have created new resorurce type and some structured properties that describe it in detail. But I have trouble with document ID (displayname). When I use standard KM iview for uploading documents and browse to file on my desktop upload iview automaticaly fills the name of the document and user must modify it manually according to real identification. Is there some possibility to "construct" name of the document for example from properties or simply break dependecy between property "File" and "Name"? Second question is whether it is possible to preset type of the document (resource type) in upload iview?
Thanks a lot
Zdenek.
Go to:
Content Management > Global Services > Property Metadata Service>Metadata Properties
Select the property that you are "pre-defining" and enter the default option into the default text box. Save the property and it should be complete. Now any document you upload should have that as a default!

Hi Zdenek,
You can set the default resource type in configuration for folders and documents. System Administration > System Configuration > Content Management > Global Services > Resource Type Registry Service. Is this what you are after?

In terms of the "preset" of the document type, you can set the document type property "Default value" to the one that you want in the metadata property itself. Hope this helps
