BPS - Old Design Layout Vs New

Good Afternoon

I have a question regarding the new bps style in BW 3.5.

When setting the Old Design attribute to 'false' within the Web Interface, the width of the layout seems to be half the screen with there being no way to define the width you wish the layout to be. This worked without any problems before turning off the Old design.

Is there documentation/tips on how to adjust the layout, iframe etc?

Any input is much appreciated.

Andrew,

please apply SAP note 832737 to fix the issue with the width of the tabstrip.

In general we recommend to use the new design since it is compliant with other SAP user interfaces (HTMLB) and the pages are rendered much nicer (font is a bit smaller so more fits on to a page for example).

The new design also integrates into the Enterprise Portal themes.

On top of that there is some new functionality that is only available with the new design. See note 629775.

I've had to manually change the code in the note as SP12 isn't released yet, but the main thing is - it works.

Hello,

is it possible to change back from "Old Design: false" to "Old Design: true" in a Web Interface?

After the change, the choice to select the old design was no longer available.

If the change-back is possible: What do I have to do?

Hi Stephen,

I think it notifies you that you will no longer be able to change back when you switch to the new design. Keep a copy if you need the old design, or is it too late for you already?

Hi William,

yes, there was a notification, but no way to abort. So, after closing the pop up with the notification, compiling of classes was going on. But we have a copy of the old design.
