Excel Output Format SAP BO XI 3.1

Hi there,

how can I change the Excel output Format from .xlsx (Standard) to .xls in SAP BO XI 3.1? (for all reports - global setting)

We migrated Crystal reports which have been designed in CE10 and must have the output Format .xls.

sorry I didnt explain it the right way. We want to keep the output format .xls like in CE10, but actually we get .xlsx files as output files on the new BO XI plattform. Do you know where to change the output format in BO XI (as a global setting)?

Hi,

could you please provide a little bit more informations.

1. On which SP Level is your BOXI 3.1 installation?

2. What is the exact process when it comes to the .xlsx output?

- With the Scheduler?

- When you want to save a Report to your local Hard Drive from InfoView

- When you want to save a Report from the CR Designer?

I still cant imagine that BOXI 3.1 gives you the option to save in .xlsx format. The shipped DAO Engine can only create .xls formats when it comes to Excel exports.

Hi,

maybe i am wrong here but i guess you want to change it from .xls (Standard) to .xlsx - correct?

.xls is the Export Standard from BOE XI 3.1 and .xlsx is not supported in BOE XI 3.1

Check SAP Note - 1420458 and 1254178
