Upgrade to 8.81

Hi,

My client is using 8.8 PL00.I want to upgrade to 8.81.What is the process for that.Should I first uograde to 8.8 lattest patch and then upgrade to 8.81 or directly to 8.81?.Can somebody guide me?

hi Sekar,

yes you can do the upgrade directly from 8.8 to any PL in 8.81.

Hi,

You can directly proceed upgrading from 8.8 to 8.81 regardless of 8.8 patch level.

Thanks for the reply.But I have partner add-on installed in 8.8.I read in the Service Market Place that if partner add-on is there you should upgrade via the older patch.So through which patch i should upgrade?

Don't get confuse you have to upgrade SAP 8.8 TO 8.81 directly with Add-ons

SAP upgrade Add-ons as per New Table

about your concern in add-on, you should let your SAP Partner recompile the addon for your 8.81 PL: xx

Hi S.G.Sekar,

You can upgrade from SAP B1 8.8 version to 8.81 PLXX directly. In regards to the Add-On you should coordinate with your partner that it is SAP B1 8.81 PLXX compliant.

You have to upgrade SAP directly 8.8 TO 8.81.

Thats the no issue regarding upgrade.

For that you have to need upgrade setup of 8.81 of any PL.
