ALV Spool output Issue

Former Member

Hi Experts,

I am executing a report which is displaying 82 fields in the background. I checked the spool after the job has completed and it is truncating the header line into next line. Because of this issue the other output values are also getting the format issue. I requested the basis team to increase the number of columns as 1123 in the device type, then also the same output is displaying the in the spool. I am currently using ECC6.0 system and i checked the forum thread for this. Some of them has suggested to implement the note 1226758 which is not applicable for our version. Could anyone suggest how to resolve this spool output issue?

Thanks,

Ram

Hi Karthik,

Try below instructions.

Go to transaction SPAD.

Follow menu path.

In the menu Settings -> Choose "Spool System".

Screen Name "Spool Administration : Spool system setting" appears.

In the others tab check the first check box "SP01:Number of columns for list display from format" in the Output Controller block, SAVE and exit.

Now check your spool.

Vijay

Hi All,

Sorry I forgot to mention in the earlier message. The steps what ever you mentioned in the message are taken care in the printer setup in SPAD. I have increased the number of columns as 1123 and enabled the checkbox and saved the entries too. I used the same printer with the device type while scheduling in the background but no luck. Still the output is displaying in the same format.
