PSE key length size

Hi,

I am in the process to order some CA approved certificates.

i have realized that the server standard PSE is 1024 and this will generate a 1024 length request, which is not accepted by CA who only process 2048 request. I have replaced the server standard PSE with a length of 2048 to get a valid request but these certificates will need to be added to the client standard PSE in the same system. the client standard PSE is also 1024 and it contains certificates that we have no record of.

I wanted to ask if a 2048 length server certificate can be added to the certificate list of a 1024 PSE file?

Also, what is the definition of 1024 length in PSE file?

Regards,

Mani
