Hi all, we have a report cointaining several drill filters. When we duplicate it, drill filters are non duplicated and drill filters region is empty. Is there a way to duplicate drill filters too?

Environment: BO-XIR3 - SP4

Thank you.

Gaetano.

Hi,

Some Copy/Paste wokflows like this supported in BI 4.0 FeaturePack03 - next year, end Q1 (estimated)

For example: https://cw.sdn.sap.com/cw/ideas/5239

however I'm not sure if that would include drill filters .

Hi,

No there is no way of duplicating the drill filters along with reports.

My suggestion is don't use drill filters. In the Interactive mode of Infoview users have the option to deal with all these.

In Infoview -- they can drag drop dimensions, they can make use of Report filter toolbar at the top right corner which helps you drill reports based on the dimension they selected.

Always for a standard reporting use input controls and give the user the option to drill.

Hi, we create a report in Infoview and add filters. Imagine this situation.

Items: Region, Shops, Revenue.

Report: Table containing Shops and Revenue

Region is dragged and dropped in filter region in top of report, so I can have the list of shops for every region selected into filter.

Everything works fine.

We duplicate the report. Table is duplicated, filter not. And so in duplicated report we only see table with shops and revenue, but region is not in the top of the report.

If we have 20 filters, this can be a problem, as users havo to rebuild filters.

I hope it's clearer now.

Thank you.

Hi

Why to duplicate query for users ? if you want to show them use input controllers and add dimensions .In the interactive mode many users can view and filter a single document the master data(advanced mode) never be changed . after viewing all the dimensions we can reset all dimensions to normal data.

Its quite simple .input controller is same as show/hide filter tool bar which is located in top right side .

For filter pane when u duplicate it the filtered dimension are viewed in pane but input controller and filter toolbar wont work out when u duplicate it

Hope this helps u

Hi Sunil, we have this scenario: a series of corporate reports are delivered to end-users. This reports contain filters, input controls, both of them. They can pick a report, edit it (changing column position and / or display, changing background, inserting a pivot and a chart) and save it in their folders. It would be useful to have all filters and input controls reproduced, but it seems that this is not a possibility.

Or not?

Thank you.
