How to use delete(Invlid combinations)

Background:

The Category of company style changed from W1A to W1C.

When I used the planning function reposting(Basic on characteristic relationship), the original data was displayed as zero and can not input in the report.

but I still want the original data(The whole record) do not display in report, so I found the planning function of [delete(Invlid combinations)]. The bad news is that it can not effect at all.

Question:

First, I want to know if it is possible to delelte the invalid combinations from the database,

if yes, pleae help to tell me the necessary setting?
