Hi All,
While importing an XML file using auto imports, system is throwing Value exception.
It is placing one XML file in the ValueX folder and it does not contain any record at all.
And other file is placed in Archive Folder and it has all the records but these are not getting imported in the system.
If we connect to Port and open exception file in ValueX folder, then we find only NULL values for all the fields.
And Match status shows 1new record to be created.
But if we try to locate this NULL record in source XML, then we are not able to find it at all.
So can you please let me know that why is this happening? And also what should be done to avoid such problem.
Thank You.
Hi Ankush,
So you have 2 files - 1 valueX - which has all fields NULL .
ValueX happens when a non permissible value comes in lookups of incomind record.
When you connect the same file using IM,it says ready to Import?
Check the value mapping, what is the NULL getting converted to?
2nd file is in archive but is not imported ,right?
Do a simple "Save Update" after opening this record in IM,this should solve the issue.
Thanks,
Ravi

Hello,
any file to go in Value exception, if the incoming value is not present in MDM, and you have configured not to add these values, these files will be placed in exception.
and for your second question, please check the default import action in Import Manager, if files are getting placed in archive folder and not getting updated, for this you need to check you import action and Matching fields in Import Manager.
Also if you have modifed the map, doing an SAVE Update will also help.

Abhishek
