Hi All,

We are using ECC 6.0, HP-Unix and Oracle 10.2.0.5

One RFC coming from CRM System is continously running 220 sessions in SM04.

I want to check RFC time out parameter to make sure max RFC time out,Please let me know this parameter.

Maximum dialog run time is 2 hours in System.

We are also not using RFC server group so user is directly loging on instance.

When I select User session in SM04 and go to techincal informaion it also shows one parameter:

auto_logout -1

But I am not sure from where it is picking this value.

Please let me know RFC time out parameter and other possible reasons of these sessions.

Hi Shivam,

Look for the below mentioned parameters to control the behaviour of RFC connections.

gw/timeout

gw/internal_timeout

gw/conn_pending

gw/gw_disconnect

gw/deallocate_timeout

gw/max_sleep

gw/keepalive

gw/reg_keepalive

gw/conn_disconnect

gw/cpic_timeout

choose relevant parameters and values after going through their documentation and which suites your requirement.

Hope this helps.

Hi Deepak,

Thanks for reply, I checked all these parameters are set correctly.

No parameter value is more than 30 min, But still I see RFC users since long time in system.

The main thing hitting my mind is auto_logout value is -1 in technical information of RFC Users.

But I checked I am not sure how system is picking this value for RFC users.

Hi Shivam,

Please check the value of parameter rdisp/keepalive.

Additionally change the rdisp/gui_auto_logout to some respectable value.
