XCelsius installs, but rejects Keycode on first run - Windows 7 x64

I installed and played around with CR2008 and XCelsius Personal Desktop with no problems a few months ago.

But recently I had reason to uninstall both products due to SSRS problems which I resolved and had nothing to do with SAP products.

Now I can reinstall both CR2008 and XCelsius Personal Desktop and Crystal Reports wants the keycode again at first run, and it took it just fine. But XCelsius is telling me my keycode is invalid or expired when I put it in on first run.

I don't know what the problem is since I had instaled and ran this software on the same machine not long ago.

I received a registry fix via the reseller that referred to "suite 12" but I do not have a registry entry named Suite 12, nor any with the word "suite" in it, in the location of the registry given to me. HKLM, software, Business Objects. I have one folder under "business objects" named "10.5" then sub folders, but nothing with "suite".

I have since installed this on an XP laptop with no problems, it takes the keycode for xcelsius and works fine.

So it seems to be win7 x64 related but why did it install and work fine the first time?
