SAP ESS Compatible version

Hello Guru's,

We have upgraded our backend systems to the versions as below

SAP_HR 604 0039

EA_HR 604 0039

SAP_ABA 701 0009

SAP_BASIS 701 0009

Current SAP ESS version 603 SP6 and planning to move to SP9.

When doing this we found some components are not showing up in CMS inbox so raised a message with SAP for the new patch for components.They are in process of releasing the patch for the components.

I want to know the compatible version of ESS components needed?

and Will there be any issues we might face if we are not upgrading ESS to SP9?

I Have checked the link below but there is no sign of compatible versions for SP9

you upgraded your backend system!

So you just need to be on SP06 of ESS, which is corrct version you have currently

But if you move to SP09 of ESS, it also is correct! There is no compatiblilty issues, that wiki is not updated anymow you can check dependency using MOPZ if you want as mentioned in the WIKI

Thanks for the information.

Can you please tell me where to find the compatability for future upgrades.

And we have upgraded our Sandbox portal to SP09, will there be any issues if we restore the system to Sp06 from backup?

As i said you should use MOPZ or service.sap.com/swdc or release notes!

Why you want to restore? Is there a need to do so? This version should work fine!

Hi,

No specific reason just that we have sandbox upgraded to Sp09 but all other landscapes like Dev QA and Prod are on SP06.

And can you also update the How to get rid of version mismatches link.

with the new versions.

Yes did update the link already till EHP4 and above that a new link has been created

The reason we cant have EHP5, cause customers can have multiple options and only MopZ can give clear example based on their landscape i ll see what i can add more for EHP5 there

For minimun version of the portal, you need to be on ESS 603 Sp06 for your level, You can also go to SPO9 without any mismatches

Can you please elaborate on when you say for "minimum version of the portal" ?

And in what situations should be upgrade to the latest version that is ESS 603 SP9?

As per the links I mentioned in the first message it doesn't have any information on SP 09 for SAP ESS.

And is it required to upgrade Portal if we have upgraded backend to SP09 for EA_HR and SAP_HR.
