multi source unv. error

hi..

i am trying create a multi-source universe ..

but i got the error "this datasource is not supported in multi source-enabled data foundations" and connections disabled..

bo 4.0 last update...

any suggestions..

Hi,

It probably means that the connection isn't supported in a multi source foundation

What kind of db and middleware are you trying to combine?

p.s. might it have anything to do with this: Note 1587810 - BI 4.x - Cannot see any BICS connections when creating a Data Foundation and "The connection is not supported" when trying to build a business layer on a BICS connection.

p.p.s . the DF engine can't combine OLAP and Relational connections, if that's what you are trying

you are right but i created the foundaditon with same connections one time.

but now i cannot.

just relational connection.sql server 2005

I am also facing same issue , I was able to create data foundation till yeasterday with my relational connection to SQL server 2008, But Now it is giving error "this datasource is not supported in multi source-enabled data foundations "

Do you know solution for this issue ???

This must mean you are creating your connection from the wrong area.

dont' do it under 'local projects'  but instead under 'repository resources' - this enables the DF query server (APS on BIPlatform) and enables the MSU foundation.
