sales order query

Hi ,

I have one scenerio(MTS) in which a production order is released for one sub assembly say XYZ (qty-9 nos) .

Now during production, if a sales order has come for sub assembly XYZ( qty-1 number)which is urgent and need to be delivered..If this 1 number is picked and delivered to the customer from the 9 numbers which were in production . My query is how to link this sales order in the above case. Also should i need to run the MRP once more for 9 items. Customer wants to keep a track of this type of production orders( where quantities are changed due to product diverted to another sales order), and also system should alert this type of uncompleted orders.

Any help in this regard.

Hi Nandi,

U r using(10) MTS will the requirement class is specifying that it considers the make to stock requirements and sale from stock w/o PIR:

Here as you said if you have 1st order 9 quantiy and its been manufactured means it is ready to sales or in between these order there is an urgent customer requirement then the quantity is 1 then it will consider it from the quantity of 9 and the system will propose quantity to manufacture it.

it is not necessary to Run the MRP because when ever you get the requirement you will plann it so if you have not run the plann you have to Run the MRP OK.

For the information purpose you have to go with the T-Code called COOIS which is called as order information report OK you can fine the all orders information.

You're saying your company uses MTS then why is the need to link the sales order to stock?

If you're using strategy 40, MRP will see the available stock and other "hard" receipts like production orders considering delivery date in sales order and will create production order only for the shortage amount. Your system will not create production order for 9 if sales order is 9.
