SAP Charm Email notification problem

Former Member

Hi Experts,

I have configured Email notification for charm using start condition and smart form emails. Now the problem is when the status changes to for example "To be tested" , the concerned partner function is receiving the email. But when the person changes the status to " Consolidated" , the same partner function is getting an old email saying the correction is in to be tested. It should not happen like this.

ANy help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Jagadish.

Hi,

well you give not much information about what exactly you have done.

Did you check your start/schedule-condition? Does the action that sends the email starts in both status?

Hi Daniel,

Let me explain the error more clearly,

We have status called "Tested in Developement" and "Approved for QA"

So when consulting performs an action Confirm unit test in dev , the status changes to "Tested in Dev" and in the same time change manager gets an email saying the request in "Tested in Dev" and the change manager logs in and changes the status to "Approved for QA".

So when the status is changing to "Tested in Dev" the change manager is getting an email. When the change manager is changing it to "Approved for QA" , change manager himself is getting an email saying " Tested in dev" which is an old action.

Moreover we have defined the send mail action start condition.

THanks,

Jagadish.

Hi,

ok so when the status is "Approved for QA" there should be NO Email or an email with another content?

Would you please describe your start conditions for the email action?

When it is "approved for qa" there is one more send mail with another content , that's to the consultant to work on the request further..this email is also triggered aong with the old action. so change manager himself getting an email saying " to be tested" and the approved for qa mail also triggering to consultant.

the start condition is given like below,

&CRM Service Process.User Status& = E0011ZDMJHEAD

where E0011 is my custom status for the custom staus pofile ZDMJHEAD

Well your condition is correct if E0011 is "tested in developmnet" and i guess it is.

Does the action really start in "approved for qa"? Please check that in your change document tab "transaction data" -> "actions".

When it does i only have one idea.

Check the action definition please.

Is the checkbox "Delete after Processing" is marked?

What is the value for "Action Merging"?

Hi,

again do check have you created any action for the staus change "Approved for QA", check in SPPFCADM -> crmd order-> choose ur zaction profile, check the defined action.

how you trigger the action like the check boxes as "automatically" or "after clicking the save button" in your action description?

This is simple, You define the action as when the status is equal to "Tested in Dev", so if u mistakenly press the save button also this trigger the action,

please do check and update

Check the start conditions in your action profile in SPPFCADM.

It seems to me in both status the same action is triggered.

Hi,

Action merging - Max. 1 Unprocessed Action for Each Action Definition

Processing time - Processing when saving the document

Schedule Automatically is ticked.

Delete processing is unchecked.
