Data element creation for custom 'data element orgchart'

Hi all,

I'd like to create my own Data element orgchart, using self-developed functional modules to achieve more flexibility in outputting data. Is any recommendations or examples for in-out interface of such modules?

Regards,

Sergey Aksenov

    Hi Sergey,

This is fairly easy procedure - I got an ABAPer with no OrgChart experience to create a function module and connect it in the AdminConsole. Depending on the data you want to pass out a key ID (PERNR or OBJID) and any other specific data for your query. Your function should then return the key ID and the data you want. For custom listings it is much more complex and requires a number of definitions.

    Best regards,

    Luke

    • Hi Sergey,

Yes, it can only be done via NakisaRFC or HR-OCI. You can amend the default NakisaRFC functions for the orgcharts to add your new relationships. These are:

      Organization Structure (Positions):

      - OrgUnits: SAPOrgUnitOrgChartTypeOHierarchyFun.xml

      - Positions: SAPOrgUnitOrgChartTypeSHierarchyFun.xml

      Organization Structure (Positions):

      - OrgUnits: SAPOrgUnitEmployeeOrgChartTypeOHierarchyFun.xml

      - Positions: SAPOrgUnitEmployeeOrgChartTypeSHierarchyFun.xml

They can be found in ..\<build>\OTFSchema\functionConfiguration\

      Best regards,

      Luke
