Delete a particular record while executing the BEx Query In Excel UI

Hi ,

While executing the BEx query in Excel UI, I want to delete selected record from Excel UI.

So must be reflected to InfoCube data as well.

Is there any way?

Hi.

If you had use real time cube it was very simple with IP functionality, but I guess your cube is regular and not real time ...

In this case you can use function RSDRD_SEL_DELETION for selective deletion of a data from the cube.

Be carefull with selective deletion ...

Hi rohith,

If u create a report based on a standard INFOCUBE , then u can't delete the particular record in EXCEL UI, but whereas if u have created the report based on REAL TIME INFOCUBE, then u can achieve ur desired result. To delete the selective record from EXCEL UI , u have to convert the infocube to the "PLAN MODE" then u can delete or insert the record in excel UI , and that data will be reflected to REAL TIME IC .

Can you please elaborate on what basis you want to delete the record? You want to delete the record permanently in Cube also?
